J-Con Idler & Drive Hub OverviewExperiencing unexpected and costly downtime with J-Con? Experiencing continual increased maintenance capital costs with J-Con Idler/Drive Hub Assemblies? We have learned from existing J-Con customers of a persistent and reoccurring issue that continually has required significant preventative maintenance and consequently resulting in unexpected downtime. This downtime adversely affects multiple departments, including numerous personnel awaiting resolution to the J-Con. Specifically, the Idler/Drive Hub Assemblies have become focal points of the systems overall deficiency due to the sheer quantity within the system, typically around 100-120, creating continuous and never-ending service and maintenance. In fact, many customers require weekly change out and rebuilt of the hub assemblies to reduce unexpected failures, which often occur regardless of the preventative maintenance. The seizing of the hub assemblies also resulting in unexpected damage, wear and stretch to the J-Con chain. The design by the OEM has evolved over the years, by changing the bearing types resulting in the latest design to utilize graphite bushing which still results in costly replacement or rebuilding. As result of the many failures, Simply has worked closely with an existing J-Con customer to develop a more robust, longer lasting design with improved design criteria to facilitate Preventative Maintenance.
